WHAT IS A GEM OF THE LAKESHORE?
The Gem of the Lakeshore was created to appreciate small
business and service organizations that are unique to South
Etobicoke and make our community a more vibrant place to
live. Please join me on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 8:00 pm
at the Assembly Hall located at 1 Colonel Samuel Smith
Park Drive.

WHO CAN RECOGNIZE A GEM?
Anyone in the general public can recognize their favourite
Etobicoke-Lakeshore small business or community
organization within Ward 6 boundaries.

HOW WILL THE GEM BE SELECTED?
The gem submissions will be reviewed by a panel whose
members are appointed by the Lakeshore Community
Partnership in conjunction with the Lakeshore Joint BIA
Committee.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR FORM?
Completed forms will be accepted no later than April 17,
2009 by noon. Please send Gem forms to The Office
of Laurel Broten, MPP Etobicoke-Lakeshore, 701 Evans
Avenue, Suite 100, Etobicoke, ON M9C 1A3 or fax to
416-259-3704. Forms can be downloaded from www.
